This was the ugliness of human selfishness and greed. She never wanted to become a victim of betrayal, desire, power, corruption and lust. The world around her was very cruel especially when her husband was not in position to defend her physically though he used to show anger. She faced the ruthlessness of the villagers and fought to become a respectable BAHU (Bride) of the village from an unassuming immigrant.
