Rituraj Anand, 23, a literature student and a prolific writer, poet and an editor who’s always brimful with thoughts and feelings; resides in Delhi. His birthplace is Bihar. He has completed his graduation in English Literature from Delhi University. He is currently pursuing post-graduation in English Literature from Jamia Millia Islamia University. He loves reading, writing, singing, socializing with new people and engaging in discussions. He enjoys teaching. As his Facebook and Instagram account says- he is a passionate writer, an avid reader, an ambivert by nature, an agnostic by belief and an Aquarian.
He has an interest in English and Hindi literature since childhood. He has been writing since the age of 14. He wrote his first poetry when he was in 8th standard and first story when he was in 9th class. Since then, he never stopped his journey of writing.
He is a published author in five anthologies: a story- ‘Half Baked Love: “Farewell” in ‘Half Baked Stories II’, five English poems in ‘The Pen Man’s Diary’, eight tiny tales in ‘Yours Faithfully, Hope’, three hindi poems in ‘Kuch Ankahe Se Alfaaz’; and three Hindi poems and one shayari in ‘Ehsas Lafz Bezubaan’. He has also successfully edited and published an anthology- ‘The Scribblers’ Diary’. He is presently working on his novel. He’s planning to publish his own collection of Hindi and English poetry, soon.
His writings intensely appertain to love, life, human psyche and society; that rears inspiration and catharsis. He always endeavors to serve in his writings- reality and relatability. He feels satisfied when the reader not only likes his write-ups; but also relates it to himself/herself. He is reverent to every kind of art. He loves to follow the Robert Frost’s poem- ‘The Road Not Taken’.
